Helsinki 3 – 0 Nerrad
Holders Hellhounds happy heros as they progress as group winners. Finally Helsinki were able to lift their hoodoo against Nerrad and get three points off them this season. Nerrad were very much a weakened team, so were there for the taking. But the team still had to do the business on the pitch. After an even start to the game, Helsinki took the lead in fortuitous circumstance when Ricky put through his own net. Nerrad made it to half time at 1 – 0, but the Helsinki manager read the team the riot act at half time. So often recently it has been a blend of defenders and forwards scoring the goals, but it was star midfielders who came to the fore last night. First Shephard and then Shynkarenko doing the business for the home side, getting them into a 3 – 0 lead by 52 mins on the clock and the job was done. The only sour note on the night was Asanovic limping off in the first half but the medics are reporting it isn’t anything too serious. Helsinki will win the group and now will await their opponents in the knockout stages. One point of concern is that Sarnians are languishing in third in their group and are therefore potential opponents for a group winner, that would be brutal.

Golden Eagles FC 3 - 3 Artic Storm

Eagles were held at home by Artic Storm after throwing away a 2 goal lead with the visitors showing plenty of fight and fire. Julio Xavier got the hosts off the mark after 12 minutes from a wonderful Darío Bourrin cross.

Captain Taavi Ruusumäki then extended their lead in the 32nd minute from Diog Guillems' corner as the Finn rose above thee storm defence with a powerful header. This left Storm keeper Ed Jackson fuming and that seemed give them a kick up the arse. Storm pulled a goal back on the stroke of half-time time as Brad Shipley headed home James Leyland's cross.

It seemed that any possible fight back from Storm was put to rest just half the hour mark, Guillems turned provider yet again as he played Pavel Chernyshev through and the Russian smashed home his 7th goal of the season. But Storm were then gifted a life line in the 70th minute, as Amadeus Rahr made an uncharacteristic mistake, allowing Billy Kidd to get the better of him and the Englishman scored with a great shot.

The visitors' comeback was completed by Lewis Fisher from O. Kleissmann's longball a couple of minutes later. Rafeal Alvarado managed to get a hand to the shot, but couldn't keep it out. It was all Storm for the last 10 or so minutes with Eagles looking a bit stunned and they were lucky to hold on for the point.

It wont be the result that Eagles boss Dave Rosewell would have been hoping for, the point still keeps them 3 points behind the top stop as Sarnians beat Rael Nerrad, but they have slipped down to 5th on goal difference behind Yakuza. Meanwhile Nerrad drop to 3rd and Hellhounds are up to 2nd with them facing Sarnians next week and Yakuza play Nerrad. So Eagles will be hoping the teams above can trip over each other, although Eagles have a difficult game away to Pompey themselves.

Helsinki vs Nerrad
Revenge is a dish best served on the pitch.
X box league cup round 1 Helsinki lost 3 - 1.
League match 6 Helsinki were beaten 3 - 2 by Nerrad at home.
Is the smart money on a 3 - 3 draw on Weds night? Perhaps.
But the Hellhounds are baying for blood, they want revenge, they want 3 points that would see them confirmed in the knockout stages as a group winner with (hopefully) an easier fixture but with a couple of top clubs not prioritising the competition it may be a bit of a lottery!
Expect a reasonably strong side with Jemmes continuing to remain with Helsinki following his earlier season loan. No injuries or suspensions to worry about so they have a strong squad to choose from. Some fringe players may get some minutes.

Helsinki 4 – 1 Sunset
Fantastic first-half flourish finishes floundering opponents. What the f?!
Helsinki came out the blocks with all guns blazing in this one. In form star striker Karrar hit the back of the net in the 19th minute with a lob having been set through by prodigious young talent Prochazka and the team never looked back. Taylor then set Karrar through for his second and he was in dreamland when he won and then converted a penalty to make it 3 – 0 and round off a first half hat trick. Taylor added a 4th in injury time to put gloss on the first half performance. If it can be called a disappoint when you win 4 – 1 it was that they didn’t get the clean sheet and couldn’t add to their tally after the break. But it was a fantastic win and with Nerrad falling to Sarnians, they are now back on level points but Sarnians (their next league opponents pip them on goals difference currently).

🔥⚽🌪️ Six‑Goal Chaos at Oaktree Lane — Acorn & Rix Share a Wild 3–3 Epic
The match exploded into life almost instantly, the crowd barely settling into their seats before Acorn Academicals struck first ⚡. Kiel Ginzalo, relentless and sharp, rifled a left‑footed rocket into the top corner after just six minutes, sending the home supporters into a frenzy. But the Bombardiers answered with fire of their own, as O. Dzenitis powered in a header after a chaotic bobble left the keeper stranded. The game became a whirlwind—pulsating attacks, desperate blocks, and breathtaking saves—before Yuya Maeta danced past defenders and chipped home a brilliant finish to flip the script in Rix’s favour. The energy on the pitch felt like an electrical storm, unpredictable and dangerous.
Acorn refused to crumble. They surged forward with wave after wave of pressure 🌊, pushed on by Jim Beam and Daniel Finn’s precision passing. Ienko and Osmanov carved open space again and again, forcing Veisbuks into heroic saves. Their persistence paid off when Ginzalo met a low cross with a lethal finish to level the match at 2–2 before halftime. The second half continued the frenzy: Daniel Finn smashed in a devastating long‑range drive to restore Acorn’s lead, sparking roars across Oaktree Lane. Every minute became a duel—crunching tackles, wild deflections, and relentless counterattacks swirling under the floodlights.
But Rix Bombardiers, as they so often do, found life in the chaos 🌩️. With time slipping away, Lukass Vapne pierced the defence with a razor‑sharp pass, and O. Dzenitis rose once more to send a towering header crashing into the net for the dramatic 87th‑minute equaliser. The stadium froze, then erupted—Rix fans in disbelief, Acorn supporters in anguish. A final storm of chances from both sides followed, but neither could find the decisive blow. As the whistle blew, the 3–3 draw stood as a masterpiece of emotion, mistakes, brilliance, and relentless heart.

⭐ Best Players — Acorn Academicals

⚡ Kiel Ginzalo — Scored two crucial goals and remained a constant attacking menace.
🎯 Daniel Finn — Midfield conductor; scored a powerful goal and created multiple chances.
🧱 Wes Brown — Rock‑solid defending, timely tackles, and crucial clearances under pressure.

⭐ Best Players — Rix Bombardiers

🔥 O. Dzenitis — Two goals including the dramatic late equaliser; unstoppable in the air.
🎨 Yuya Maeta — Scored a brilliant chipped finish and drove the attack with flair.
🛡️ K. Grabovskis — The midfield anchor, breaking up play and creating key forward passes.

Helsinki vs Sunset
After the confusion and disappoint of last weekend's draw at Pompey, Helsinki return home to face Sunset who always give them a tough game. They know they need three points or the sun really could start to set on their title ambitions. A few tired legs will see players benched and the likes of Asanovic given a run out. No injuries or suspensions to contend with though, so the manager will be able to flex his squad. Rumours are that they may go less defensive than in previous games.

🔥⚽💥 Chaos, Comebacks & Carnage — Flint Tropics and Rix Bombardiers Split Six‑Goal Thriller
🟩 Flint Tropics 3–3 Rix Bombardiers 🟥
The match exploded into life from the opening whistle ⚡. Rix Bombardiers, even after a shocking early red card for Matīss Siliņš in the 6th minute 🟥, came out swinging with fearless aggression. Moments later, Ričards Klavinskis showcased a moment of magic—flicking the ball over his marker and rifling it home for the opener 🎯. With Yuya Maeta’s blistering solo run and top‑corner finish on 24 minutes 🔥, Rix surged to a 0–2 lead, pressing hard, dribbling past defenders, and bombarding the goal with ruthless confidence. Flint Tropics looked stunned, unable to stem the red‑and‑black wave crashing toward them.
But then the storm turned. Flint Tropics clawed their way back into the match with pure determination 💪. Jonas Joyce ignited the comeback with a sharp finish from Vakidis’ brilliant cross, dragging the score to 1–2 and waking the home support from shock into riotous noise. Moments later, Bridginho danced through defenders with a mazy run 🌪️ before firing in the equaliser right on the stroke of halftime. The stadium erupted—Tropics were alive again, and Rix suddenly looked human.
The second half became a wild, breathless firefight ⚔️. Rix regained the lead through A. Jaunzems’ rocket from the edge of the box 💥, only for Flint Tropics to strike back again as Jonas Joyce delivered a spectacular bicycle kick that sent the crowd into absolute hysteria 🤯. Both teams traded furious attacks—posts hit, shots blazed over, breathtaking saves from Domik Barszcz and D. Veisbuks, and tackles flying everywhere. With chaos at every turn and drama in every attack, the match ended 3–3, a perfect storm of emotion, mistakes, brilliance, and pure football madness.

🌟 Jonas Joyce — Two goals including an outrageous bicycle kick; constant danger all game.
🎨 Bridginho — Creator, dribbler, scorer of the first equaliser; the team’s creative spark.
🛡️ Harry Wells — Strong tackling, recovery runs, and several key defensive stops.

⭐ Best Players — Rix Bombardiers

⚡ Lukass Vapne — The team’s beating heart; constant dribbling, creativity, and attacking threat.

🧱 A. Jaunzems — Solid defensive effort and the scorer of a crucial long‑range goal.

Golden Eagles FC 2 - 0 Darlington All Stars

Eagles got back to winning ways after their blip against Hellhounds last week as they beat All Stars 2-0 at home. The scoreline could have and should have been a lot bigger, as Eagles dominated with 63% possession and 33 shots, but A. Bartlett had an amazing game in Darlington's goal and at times looked unbeatable, making 20 odd saves!

Pavel Chernyshev opened the scoring after 14 minutes with a fine header from Steve Bowen's corner. Diog Guillems doubled the hosts lead a couple of minutes before the break with a well worked goal along with Julio Xavier.

And thats how the game finished, despite Eagles searching for more goals in the second half. However, Dave Rosewell will not doubt be happy with the 3 points as Eagles remain 3 points behind new leaders Rael Nerrad. Eagles sit 4th with Hellhounds and Sarnians a point above them. And all 3 of them have difficult games coming up.
